The Dean of the College inspects the activities of the second day of the mental health campaign and honors the efforts of the Student Union.
The Faculty of Medicine at Beni Suef University witnessed the activities of the second day of the Mental Health Awareness Campaign, which was attended by Prof. Dr. Hany Hamed, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Samraa Hussein, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
Lecture: “Challenges of the Digital Age”
The seminar addressed key issues relevant to today’s youth, including digital addiction, anxiety about the future, difficulty in forming relationships, and weakened effective human communication skills. It also explored ways to confront psychological fragility and build a resilient and strong medical personality.
Outstanding Organization and Management
The Faculty administration praised the pivotal role played by the Student Union in organizing the event, led by:
• Student: Ziad Ahmed Rabie – President of the Student Union
• Student: Mohamed Tamer Motie – Secretary of the Scientific Committee
• Student: Abdullah Nasser – Assistant Secretary of the Scientific Committee
The event also witnessed active participation and distinguished contributions from promising student cadres:
• First Year: Ahmed Mahdy and Mohamed Bahaa
• Second Year: Sama Mohamed
Dean’s Address to Students
During his visit, Prof. Dr. Hany Hamed affirmed that the Faculty strongly supports such initiatives aimed at protecting students from the risks of digital isolation and psychological stress. He emphasized that direct communication and participation in student activities represent the true antidote to psychological fragility.
