Faculty Council Holds Its 274th Session of the Twenty-Fifth Term
The Council of the Faculty of Medicine, Beni Suef University, convened today for its 274th session of the twenty-fifth term, held on April 14, 2026, under the chairmanship of Dr. Hany Hamed Desouky, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, in the presence of the Vice Deans, Council Members, and former Deans of the Faculty.
The session was honored by the attendance of Dr. Mansour Hassan, Former President of Beni Suef University.

Opening of the Session
The Dean welcomed all attendees and commenced the session by:
• Extending sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Abdel Aziz El-Refaie, founder of the Department of Dermatology at the Faculty of Medicine.
• Conveying greetings and best wishes to the Christian community on the occasion of Easter.
• Congratulating Council members on the occasion of the Spring Festival (Sham El-Nessim).
• Expressing appreciation to the Department of Microbiology for the successful organization of its Scientific Day.
• Extending gratitude to the Faculty of Medicine, represented by the Dean, Vice Deans, Faculty Director, Department Chairs, and all staff members, for their collective efforts and the successful organization of the Student Conference at Beni Suef National University.
• Emphasizing the importance of preparing for the upcoming examinations and ensuring the timely, accurate completion of grading, result compilation, and score recording procedures in the best interest of students.
• Expressing appreciation for the successful completion of the first corneal transplantation surgery at the University Hospital.
The Council then proceeded to discuss the agenda items submitted by its members.
