Faculty of Medicine Council Holds Its 271st Session – 25th Term
The Council of the Faculty of Medicine at Beni Suef University held its 271st session as part of the 25th term on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hany Hamed Desouki, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, with the attendance of the Faculty’s vice deans, council members, and former deans.
Attendance:
* Prof. Dr. Samraa Hussein – Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs
* Prof. Dr. Sherine El-Husseiny – Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research
* Prof. Dr. Mohamed Naji – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development
* Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Senousi – Secretary of the Faculty Council

* Dr. Ramadan El-Bakry – Scientific Committee Coordinator, Beni Suef Doctors Syndicate
**Opening of the Council:
The Dean began the session by welcoming attendees and offering congratulations on:
* The New Year to all Council members
* Christmas to the Coptic community
* Honoring the students of the Student Research Unit for publishing the Unit’s first scientific paper in a Q1-ranked international journal, reflecting academic excellence, research effort, and high scientific standards
**Key Topics Discussed:
* Review of the progress of the new Faculty of Medicine building within the 33-feddan East Nile Complex during a field inspection conducted by the Dean
* Update on the Dean and faculty members’ visit to the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Department to follow up on preparations and furnishings for the Rehabilitation Center building in the East
* Presentation of statistics from Beni Suef University Hospitals for the academic year 2026
