A Humanitarian Initiative by Beni Suef’s Coptic Community Bringing Joy to Pediatric Dialysis Patients
In an atmosphere filled with love and national solidarity, a number of Coptic community members participated in celebrating Coptic Christmas with children of the Dialysis Unit, the Pediatrics Department, and the Pediatric Care Unit at Beni Suef University Hospitals. The celebration included organizing an entertainment event that brought joy to the children’s hearts, helped alleviate their psychological distress, and drew smiles on their faces in a humanitarian gesture reflecting the highest values of participation and social solidarity.

The event featured various entertainment performances and gifts for the children, with great interaction from the young patients and their families, which contributed to improving their psychological well-being and providing them with moral support throughout their treatment journey.

For their part, Prof. Dr. Hany Hamed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beni Suef University Hospitals, and Dr. Emad El-Banna, Executive Director of Beni Suef University Hospitals, extended their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Coptic community for this noble humanitarian initiative. They emphasized that such efforts reflect the spirit of national unity, embody the values of compassion and social responsibility, and directly contribute to supporting the psychological well-being of sick children.

The hospital administration also expressed its pride in such community participation, which strengthens cooperation between state institutions and society, and supports the mission of university hospitals in providing integrated healthcare both medically and humanely.

Beni Suef University Hospitals also extended their heartfelt congratulations to the Coptic community on the occasion of Coptic Christmas, wishing Egypt continued love and peace, and praying that the occasion returns to all with goodness, health, and stability.

Meanwhile, Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, was keen today to visit several churches and monasteries in Beni Suef Governorate to offer Christmas greetings to Egypt’s Christian citizens, partners in the nation. The university president was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Hanan Soliman, Vice President of Beni Suef National University for Employment and Innovation; Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University; Dr. Bassem Anwar, Head of the Student Affairs Sector at Beni Suef National University; Dr. Ahmed Farouk, Coordinator of “Students for Egypt”; in addition to a delegation of faculty deans, university staff, and members of Students for Egypt.

The university president began his tour by visiting the Episcopal Cathedral in Beni Suef, where he offered his congratulations to His Grace Bishop Gabriel, Bishop of Beni Suef, in the presence of a large gathering of priests and clergy who expressed their appreciation for the visit, which reflects the deep bonds of love and brotherhood between Muslims and Christians in the governorate.

He then visited the Bishopric of Beba, where he was received by Bishop Stephanos, Bishop of Beba, El-Fashn, and Somosta, along with several priests. The president exchanged greetings and warm sentiments with the attendees, expressing his happiness in sharing their joy on this cherished occasion for the great Egyptian people.

Following that, the university president visited the Monastery of St. Anthony in Nasser Center, where he was welcomed by Fr. Fam El-Antony and several monastery leaders, along with a gathering of Christian and Muslim citizens. He also visited the Monastery of St. Paul in Nasser Center, where he extended his congratulations to Fr. Basilius and all the fathers and Christian brothers at the monastery.

During the visit, the university president affirmed the unity among the people of the nation and the strength of the Egyptian people under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic. He noted that this unity is clearly reflected in the deep relations between Muslims and Christians throughout Egypt’s history, praying that holidays return to beloved Egypt with goodness, peace, security, and stability.

For their part, the priests and clergy expressed their gratitude to the university president for his visit and for offering Christmas greetings, noting that this gesture reflects the strong bonds and cohesion among all segments of the Egyptian people and embodies the spirit of love and unity within the fabric of the nation.
